Camlara Books

I LOVE Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter and Psy/Changeling series', if I could live in any realm created by an author I would choose Nalini's Psy/Changeling world :-)

My Thoughts

The Judas Cypher - Greg Dragon

I received a free ARC of this book that I willing read and reviewed.

I am going to get straight to it. I did enjoy this book, the intrigue kept me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out the how, who and why's. I was fascinated with all the future technology and the thoughts that those things may one day become reality and how awesome that would be. Our lead character Dhata, however, was definitely lacking a little something, this was thankfully made up for by Lur's insight and fresh eyes. Personally at first I didn't like Dhata, even though he is crucial to the story he was a little depressing for me. As the adventure went on I started to think things wouldn't change and we would be stuck running around in circles with him. Thankfully with Lur's appearance you could see things were starting to turn around and the whole mess he has gotten himself into started to clear up. The only thing that is really nagging me about this adventure now is Lur's unfinished business, I can hardly believe that this is it and that's it. I look forward to hopefully seeing how that pans out

where do I begin?

Chosen (The Djinn Wars Book 1) - Christine Pope

I know it has probably been said before but this book dragged on a lot, and most of it was really pointless. However it wasn't until the end that it captured me enough that I would like to find out what happens next. The start and end was thrilling, with something actually happening and making me want to know what happens next, the middle however was so boring waiting for something to happen and thinking it will any page now with nothing but let down after let down. I am intrigued enough, however, to consider picking up the next book to find out what happens.

Something Different

Just thought I would try something a little different. And just incase you are interested I thought I would share this link with you

February in books

Eve of Chaos - Sylvia Day Eve of Destruction - S.J. Day The Cult of Unicorns - Chrys Cymri Becoming Dragon - Eve Langlais Sacrificed to the Dragon (Stonefire Dragons) (Volume 1) - Jessie Donovan Tempted by a Vampire: Billionaire, Rock Stars, Vampires (Immortal Hearts of San Francisco Book 1) - Susan Griscom

I am a few days late for the end of February, however I reached and passed my goal for the month. I am proud of myself for getting in and knocking my personal goal out. A couple of these books I struggled with, as some of you may know

Time to go on an Adventure!

The Cult of Unicorns - Chrys Cymri

So it wasn't until after I started this book that I realised it was the second one and that I have yet to read the first. I was a little lost at first, especially knowing I was missing information but it was still a fun read. There was a little too much church going for me, but since our leading character is a Vicar I completely understood, even if some of it did bore me a little I still enjoyed the book itself and am looking forward to getting a copy of the first book to see how things got started and the next book to see what happens next.

Now roo leave you with a couple of quotes I enjoyed from my journey:

"There were all sorts of things I wished I knew about unicorns. For example, at what age did they learn to speak, how did it feel to have a horn growing from your forehead, and whether they would use their hooves against a friendly vicar approaching them across a field."

"My three favourite drugs: Ibuprofen, caffeine, and alcohol. What one doesn't cure the other one will."

More Dragon's? Yes please

Sacrificed to the Dragon: Part One - Jessie Donovan

This is the second Dragon Shifter I have ever read and I am going to admit I LOVED it. Our strong willed leading female was inspiring and straight to the point. I loved that she held her own and wasn't one to cower. She held her own against not only her leading man but others as well which showed her spine of steel was never for show. As for our leading man, well lets say as alpha male as he could get and as much as an ass as he could be sometimes you can't help but feel for his pain and love him anyway

Dragon Point... On Point...

Becoming Dragon - Eve Langlais

BECOMING DRAGON

Finally Over...

Eve of Chaos - Sylvia Day

I am going to start out with this... It is such a relief to have finally finished this book... I cannot tell you how many times through out this book I swore I wouldn't finish, I stand by my loathing of love triangles, but this one seriously takes the cake. I am seriously disappointed with Sylvia Day about this since I have LOVED everything I have read by her so far. The end of this trilogy left room for another book, nothing was really resolved, when really for a trilogy it should have been. Over all I am not going to go on anymore about this, I am going to put it away and get on with my next book. The sooner I wipe this from my mind, the better

Book Sale
Book Sale

So I went to the book sale at the State Library of South Australia in Adelaide yesterday. There were so many books to choose from but I only got a couple

Eve of Destruction - S.J. Day

I am going to get this out of the way now because I really need too. I LOATHE love triangles. At the moment, all I can say about this trilogy is thank god the story line is entertaining because otherwise I would have put it down by now. Seriously, so far 2 of the three involved in the love triangles have really only thought of what they can get out of the third person rather than thinking of that persons needs. Here's to hoping the third instalments story line is still on the ball ⚽.

Slow Start...

Eve of Darkness - S.J. Day

Finally finished my first book for this month. Have got to admit I am again off to a slow start. If I keep reading at this current pace I will be hard pressed to get 5 new books in this month... ... Time to knuckle down and chillax with a good book

January In Books

Allegiance of Honor (Psy/Changelings) - Nalini Singh Assorted Fantasies - Joel Puga White Rabbit Society Part One - Brendan Detzner Slave to Sensation - Nalini Singh

So I will admit, for me, I have started this year out slow. Only 3 new books and one re-read. I do re-read the Psy/Changeling series alot though, I just cannot seem to get enough of that fantastic world Nalini has created. However I think for February I am going to aim for 5 new books. This is going to be an interesting challenge for myself, between kids activities, birthdays, other events AND hopefully starting some study, fingers crossed I can meet my own goal. It's not like I don't have plenty of new and exciting books waiting

New Books...
New Books...

So I may have got a little distracted this afternoon, instead of cooking the kids dinner I found somewhere I could get free books on my phone www.kobo.com and had a little fun getting some new stuff to read and a couple of books I have had on my T.B.R list for, like, ever lol
